cPanel come with a powerful web interface (Webmail) that you can use to check emails on your domain name. With Webmail, you are able to compose email messages, read email messages, archive email messages, forward email messages and perform other common tasks. This article will take you through the steps to log into Webmail.
Method 1: Directly log into Webmail.
Follow the steps given below to access and log into wemail.
- Open your browser window. In the address bar, type your domain name follwed by “/webmail”. For instance, if your domain name is dummydomain.com, then you should type it as dummydomain.com/webmail.
- Next, enter your email address and password on the login screen.
- Click on OK button.
Method 2: How to log into Webmail via cPanel.
If you have the credentials to your domain’s cpanel, you can easily access webmail by logging into cPanel. Follow the steps below to log into webmail via cPanel.
Steps
- Log into cPanel.
- In the Email section, click on Email Accounts.
- cPanel will show you a list of all the email accounts created for your domain so far.
- Locate the email account that you need to access and click on Access Webamil.
- Webmail will open in a new browser tab.
On successful log into Webmail, you’ll need to select your preferred email client. There are three email clients namely:-Horde, Rouncube & SquirrelMail. Choose either.
Common problems when logging into Webmail
1. No prompt for username or password.
This is a common problem caused by a firewall on your network thus blocking webmail ports. (2095 and 2096).
To navigate around this problem, input the address in the format wemail.dummydomain.com – Remember to replace dummydomain with your actual domain name.
2. Invalid email/password
This is normally caused by an incorrect email address or password. Try checking your email and password and verify that they’re both correct.
