Steps to follow while setting up SSl:
Dedicated IP Address.
For your website to have the best security, SSL Certificate will require your website to have dedicated IP address. When your website have dedicated IP address it will ensure all traffic going to your IP address is only directed to your website.
Step 2: Purchase and Verify Certificate.
After you’ve selected your provider for SSL and certificate type, proceed to purchase. Immediately you receive verification and approval from Certificate Authority (CA), go ahead and download you SSL Certificate files. Having certificate proves the website belongs to you.
Step 3: Installing your SSL Certificate.
Installing the SSL certificate depends with where you purchased. If you purchased from your current web hosting company they may install for you when approval process is complete. So when you are ready to purchase SSL certificate it’s good to check with your hosting company if they sell them. If you are the one installing follow the steps below:
- Log into your WHM or CPanel depending on the one you are using.
- Look for an option for “Install an SSL Certificate”.
