What is an Email Forwarder?<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

An Email Forwarder <\/strong>is a feature in cPanel and Webmail that enables you to send(forward) a copy of an email from the receiving email address to another email address automatically. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This becomes handy when you have multiple email addresses. You can redirect all email received on different email addresses to a single email account so that you’ll not have to log into each account to read your email messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In cPanel, you can create two types of email forwarders: Email Account Forwarders<\/em> and Domain Forwarders<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Email Account Forwarders<\/strong> are normally assigned as a single forwarder <\/strong>for each email <\/strong>account. cPanel allows you to create multiple email forwarders, but you have to configure your email forwarders individually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Global Email Filters<\/strong> are based on a domain name. Creating a Domain Forwarder <\/em>copies all emails to the domain specified. This option overrides the existing domain setting for email accounts.<\/em> If you create a domain forwarder for domainX.com<\/strong> to forward to domainY.com<\/strong>, any email for domainX.com will automatically be copied to domainY.com<\/strong>. Make sure you have created respective email accounts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this guide we will take you through the right steps to follow in order to set up an email forwarder<\/strong> both in cPanel and Webmail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Creating an Email Forwarder in cPanel.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  1. Log into cPanel<\/a>.<\/li>
  2. Click on Forwarders<\/strong> under Mail s<\/strong>ection.<\/li>
  3. Forwarders page will open. On this page, click on Add Forwarder<\/strong>.<\/li>
  4. On the Fowarders <\/strong>page, fill the section as shown below.
    Address Section: In this section, you should input the email address username. Address to forward:<\/b> Select the required domain from the drop down.<\/strong>\n

    \nDestination: In this field, type the full email address that should receive forwarded emails.\n<\/li>\n
  5. Clikc on Add Forwarder<\/b> to finish.<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Creating a Forwarder in Webmail<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    1. Log into Webmail<\/a>.<\/li>
    2. At the top-right corner, click on your username. A drop down menu will appear.<\/li>
    3. Click on Add Forwarder.<\/strong><\/li>
    4. Specify the destination email<\/strong> address under Destination section<\/strong>.<\/li>
